While applying for Study permit sometimes the visa gets a refusal for number of reasons. It normally happens when visa is applied without meeting all the requirements or when there is lack of proper presentation of the case.

Visa officer looks not only for the strong academic record and the language proficiency but also for the finances available for their duration of stay and for the fee. Only those candidates who have presented their case well and have prepared a strong application with complete papers are issued Student Visa. Normally no interview is called and the assessment is based upon documents you have provide along with the application. So your application has to be perfect in all respects before you apply. Any misrepresentation can deny you a Student or Visitor Visa for ever. So be cautious before you apply.

There might be a screening or interview once you land in Canada. Why your visa can be refused?

• No proper and logical Study Plan: If you are planning to study in any program, it is very important that it should be in progression with your earlier study and work experience. There should be direct link between your study in Canada and its job prospects in your home country. You might have a dual intention of studying in Canada as well as living in Canada in future after study by taking the usual course of work permit and then applying your PR through Express Entry in Canadian experience class. But there are still chances that either you don’t get the PR or you have to go back to your own country for any other reasons. So you should have a detailed and logical plan regarding your study programme in Canada and how it is going to help you in establishing yourself in your own country. This is very important as it shows that you will not stay illegally or will not over stay in Canada.
• Family ties in your Home Country as well as in Canada: If a person does not have solid family ties then he might not be interested in going back after he finishes his study. Your need to give the whole bunch of reasons that you will go back once you finish your study as you have strong family ties or a family business back home in which you are planning to get involve in future. On the other hand if you show a strong family ties in Canada, this might be one a reason for refusal if these family ties give any type of indication to the Visa officer that you might remain stay in Canada or your primary purpose of coming over here is family unification and not your study.
• Documentary evidences: It is very important the your coving letter is supported by proper evidentiary documents which should be authentic in all respect and the officer can verify these from their source.
• Finances and personal assets: Your available finances should be sufficient to meet your complete fee of your study plan as well as your expense during your stay in Canada. If you have any personal assets in your country, you must mention these as it helps Visa officer to understand you have some financial ties back home.
• Other point to consider: The Visa officer will also see that you don’t have any history of overstaying in Canada and your valid legal Status in Country of Residence. Also he might see your current status like what you are doing now if you was not studying currently.
